New OSSA Member Resources

Pay stubs can be be on myescape.vcoe.org as well as other important info! You should see your wage and car allowance. The withholdings will be on the bottom left side. Your first paycheck will probably be sent to your home address and subsequent ones will be direct deposit.

Timesheets – You can find them on www.oxnardsd.org under Departments, Payroll, Certificated Timesheets. Print them out and send your monthly timesheet in by the end of each month.

  • For SLP’s, School Psych’s and Program Specialists: Submit to the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Special Ed. She handles timesheets and can answer questions.
  • For Counselors – submit to your office manager
  • Nurses- Submit secretary to the Director of Pupil Services

Sick Day/PNS – You are allotted 11 sick days a year.  You can submit a request to use a sick day as a Personal Necessity Day (PNS). Any days that are not used will roll over into bank of sick days added to your days for the following school year.  These are different from your Professional Growth/Wellness days that DO NOT roll over each year.  Please see the Professional Development and Wellness section of this website for more information.

$750 Professional Development Funds–  This money can be used to cover professional memberships (ASCA, ASHA, CASP, NASP, etc.) as well to cover the cost of trainings, conferences, and books that will contribute to your ongoing learning and professional development among other things. Keep your receipts and then use the “OSD Expense Reimbursement Voucher” (get from your office manager) and submit to your Director’s Administrative Assistant. This money must be spent each year, it does not roll over.

Continuing Education: Our SELPA has great courses at affordable prices. The website (www.vcselpa.org) has a place to register for the events. You fill out the form, then send in a check to them. They will send an email when they receive your payment.   (For SLP’s- On the day of the event, bring your checkbook or $5 cash, as this is the fee for getting ASHA credits.)
