OSSA members are allowed 8 days of professional development each year.    They are coded as “PG” (Professional Growth) on your timecard and in Frontline.

The eight (8) Professional development are in addition to attendance at “local professional organization meetings” as well as District required workshops and trainings.  See contract Article 17.2.2  Attendance at district meetings and local organizations are coded as “OB” (official business) on the time card and on Frontline.  See sample below.

Members may also Professional Growth days for Wellness Activities.  Requests for release times for wellness activities should be submitted to the unit members site supervisor or administrative designee for approval.  See contract Article 19.2
